silly question about dash light

i was reading the tractor manual and one of the instrument panel idiot lights shows an image of a tractor drive line and its called "4 wheel drive engager light " which illuminated when tractor is in 4wd.

but right below it is the same symbol with a arrow in front of the front wheels and there is no mention as to what this idiot light is for. (its the one below #15)

any ideas????

also.....the manual states that the hour meter reads in 1/10 of an hour increments, but mine is only reading in full hours. how about yours???

The hour meter on mine just reads in full hours also.

You may know i was drivin my new dk50 hst today in H range goin up a bit of a hill nothing major. I stopped cause didn't seem as if i was getting traction. So i switched 4x4 in and then tried to go forward... n nothing would go in reverse but not forward. Backed up some more and put in M range and then it seemed ok. Was that the relief valve in the hydo tranny? Sorry just figured you might know. Been going threw my owners manual today to.

all i know is i try to use mid range for any hill work. The high range is pretty much just for flat work. i only switch mine into 4wd mode while stopped, and you have to move foreword or reverse top fully engage it. Maybe being on a hill prevented you from moving foreword to set it. after you reversed, it seemed to work ok, prob that means it engaged in reverse. I was told not to use the high range much until i have at least 50 hours on the tractor....not sure why. but i haven't used it just to be sure. didn't see that in the manual, just heard from dealer.

my manual states the last digit on hour meter is tenths, i know this is wrong otherwise i only have 2.8 hours on my tractor after a month of using it :laughing: :laughing:

I have gear 2009 DK45S and the hour meter shows tenths. They are different color than than the hrs. I have some tractors that show tenths and some don't.
