Earlier on in the autumn I had a thought on the way to work and stopped off at the farm supply shop and picked up a load of cheap springy finger things. (19 in total). (if anyone wants to fill me in on what they're called in English, I'd be interested to hear it)
I'd been saving a few bits of steel at work for the time when they might come in handy, and in the evening I put this together. The overly-simple top point mount is partly due to lazyness, and partly because I might make a normal tow-hitch for it so my neigbour can use it on his UTV. The holes in the ends of the main bar are to mount wheels to stop it going too deep into his horse arena.... or to mount something else behind it. I have no idea really.. it just seemed like sense to get a pair of captive M12 nuts in there while I was plating the ends.
I wish I'd done a double row of fingers - but then again it works nicely and there's no need for it to cost twice as much
It's had a fair bit of use since the first pictures were taken, and seems to be working well
