Hello,
I have got a for the most part all original and good running Simplicity Model 700. One issue I have with it is that If the fuel tank is any less then 3/4 of the way full, it will not run, acts as if no fuel is getting to the carb. It used to be only if you went to start it after sitting over night that it wouldnt run with any less then 3/4 of a tank, now its getting to the point where it will die on you in the middle of mowing or just using it in general.
Here is a list of things I have done so far with no improvement:
1) New carb kit
2) New fuel line
3) Removed petcock from bottom of the tank and cleaned strainer, glass fuel bowl, and replaced o-ring gasket for fuel bowl.
4) Emptied tank completely dry and blew compressed air into to try and blow any debris out.
I am running out of options to try, If you take the fuel line off and hold it up even with where it inlets to the carb, fuel runs out of the line like it has no problem flowing or getting to the carb.
