Simplicity Legacy takes 3-4 times turning key to start

When I turn the key to start I get nothing Have to do this 3-4 times then she kicks on- Any ideas- Battery charged-thks

Take the battery cables off the battery and starter and ground. Clean the battery posts and cable ends, all four ends. Put it all back together and see what happens.
