Simplicity Sawmill? Anyone heard/used one>?

Hi All:

Looking at a used sawmill was decal-ed as a "Simplicity Sawmill" red in color had 13hp honda and dummy spares for band wheel driving. fixed blade with air pressure adjust for the band tension

Seems solid but low production unit and thinking it might fit my bill. used somewhere around a 05 or so. dow not appear to be worked very hard and has spare parts & most can be bought at junk yard or at TSC.

I built a bandmill that uses 16" diameter trailer tires for the bandwheels and generic bearings as blade guides. I also adjust blade tension with air pressure. I think the pneumatic bandwheels work well.

Be sure that the cutting head can be raised and lowered accurately and evenly so that the blade always stays parallel to the bed.

You may want more hp if you cut any hardwood over 20 inches in diameter. I am running 10 hp electric and cuts on really big hardwoods can be slow.
