site to test DSL speed

A while back i posted asking for a site to test DSL speed.. I lost my bookmark and can't find the links that were posted / messages they were poste din.

Anyone got a good site I can hit to find out how fast my dsl line is running?

I did a variety of tests to make sure embarq was giving me my $$ worth. download speeds are right at spec, and upload speeds, while lower, are pretty good. on a 1.5 dsl line I was hitting 500 on upload... not too bad..

Another good site is DSLReports.com - if you are running Windows XP the "Tweak Tools" will help set the communication settings to optimize your broadband (using "Dr. TCP"). Their speed tests always show slower speeds than Speakeasy.net, but I think their testing is more rigorous.

The one our IT guys use here at the District is Bandwidth Speed Test - testmy.net resource / tool Click on Dual Test. They report that it is more realistic as it used increasing test sizes.
