Sites showing or offering plans for farm/homestead equipment & devices

Hi, all. I'm a long-time carpenter, handyman, tinkerer - living on rural land. I've got an oxy-acetylene welding rig, and have the use of my neighbor's arc welder. I'm interested in finding ideas and plans for making things that are useful on a small farm/homestead, or for the garden, etc. Materials like wood, ferrous metals, brass, or rubber are all feasible. What I'm looking for good sources for concepts & plans.

I realize this may all seem a little vague because I'm not asking about a specific project, but bear with me...

I'd really appreciate any advice about books that I could investigate and possibly buy, plus Web sites that may offer plans (either for sale or for free) and maybe show pictures. Thanks.

I have a book that is a publication from the lincoln arc welding foundation first printed in 1978. The full title is ARC WELDED PROJECTS Volume II" . It is a collection of project write-ups submitted by shop students. It was originally intended as a teaching aid for shop teachers. Some of the plans are sketchy, but some are good. Lincoln also has some projects on their website.

Other universities may have plans too, but UT is what always comes up for me when I am doing web searches.
