Six feet under in Denver

The morning paper had a picture of six feet of snow that just fell in Denver. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif My question is how in the world do you deal with 6 feet. 2 feet just about shut us down here in Lancaster and we argued about who was responsible and who screwed up for weeks. Maybe all you can do is strap on your snowshoes and head south. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif I'll bet Palm Beach is sounding pretty good to those poor folks.

I am in the foothills west of Colorado Springs and we really got hammered with this one. Nobody
is complaining because this stuff will go a long way to help with the drought conditions.

How do handle it?? Make sure that you have plenty of fuel for the tractor, plenty of wood for the
fireplace, fuel for the camp stove, full gas grill LPG bottle, flashlights/lanterns, plenty of food,
and plenty of supplies for the hot buttered rums. It really was a very pleasent time. Of course the
stranded passengers at DIA probably have a different view of the situation.

The B2410 did a great job digging out. There is just no place to put any more snow. The drive way is cleared
but the pesky 5-6 drifts across the county road preclude me from going anywhere.The melting has
already begun big time so all of you downstream from me "Heads Up!".

How do you deal with it?!!

First you get home while you still can. Then you wait until it stops snowing. Then get on your machine and have fun.

Attached is a picture of me just getting started. After this I cleared the street and four other neighbors.

PS: We are on the NE side of Denver and we got the least at about 3 feet and drifts over the fences.
