Hi everybody, I have a quick question: which is the size of the nuts that lock the lateral (lifting arms) pins of a cat 1 3pt hitch. I cannot use an adjustable wrench for lack of space and I have to buy a new wrench. Thanks.

It depends on what size thread they used on the pins. I have seen cat 1 pins with 3/4" threads, 7/8 threads, and 1" threads.

Best bet would be to use calipers and measure the size of the nut, and round up to the nearest fractional wrench.

If the pins arent super tight, if you can get a crescent, or pipe wrench on, but just not get a throw, you can use a large punch and put it in the lynch-pin hole and turn it with that.

I checked a few of mine. All the King Kutter implements take a 1 1/4" wrench. Some of the better brands take a 1 5/16" wrench.
