I am purchasing the referenced tractor and wanted to get a rotary tiller. I was considering the Howse RTC 70 (70"). I believe this tractor has a pto hp of 36. Will this tractor handle this tiller? I have been told it should but I thought I would run this by the forum to see what the thoughts are. The following is what is on the Howse website:
Rotary Tiller Section
A-frame and gearbox assembly can be reversed for reverse rotation.
Machine can be offset to either side or center.
A-frame extended for smoother operation.
#4 metric torque limiter driveshaft to protect tractor and implement.
Removable tine shaft and tines.
Adjustable skid shoes.
Model Weight Description
RTC48 647 lbs. 48" Rotary Tiller/ 20-50 hp 6 sets of 4 blades
RTC54 679 lbs. 54" Rotary Tiller/ 25-50 hp 7 sets of 4 blades
RTC62 737 lbs. 62" Rotary Tiller/ 35-60 hp 8 sets of 4 blades
RTC70 780 lbs. 70" Rotary Tiller/ 40-60 hp 9 sets of 4 blades
Thanks for the input.
