2007 4110 Mahindra w/ M112 loader and Kubota B2910 w/ loader.
Would my 4110 handle a 7ft disc mower? Specs call for a 42 to 45 hp tratcor I believe.
Anyone using one on their 4110?

Thanks.
Jeff

The tractor will operate the disc mower. The main problem you will have is moving the mower in transport position. It is very heavy and can make the tractor top heavy, especially on the side where the mower is installed.

A caddy reduces this problem but adds another $2K to cost.

Be careful whatever you decide to do.

The pto hp for the 4110 is 33.6, so it would be better suited for a 6' disc mower unless a caddy is employed.

I have a 8' Massey Ferguson disc mower that I use with my 6000 (50 pto hp). It runs fine in fifth gear but I have to be careful with it when transporting on a slope when the downhill side is on my right.

My 2001 4110 is rated at 38 hp at the pto.

Thanks for the replies.
I was just wondering, I'll most likely stick with my 7 ft sickle bar mower and maybe some time I'll come across a 7 ft mower conditioner.

You are refering to a haybine when you say "mower conditioner", correct? Not disc mower conditioner?

Ahh yes, if I had ment a discbine that's what I would have said, I farmed for a number of years after I retired from the Navy but sold most of my equipment when I quit now I'm having to buy a few pieces of equipment to do hay.
My brother and dad still farm and use a Kuhn discbine.
So I know one piece of equipment from another. A mower conditioner and a haybine are the same thing both have a sickle bar cutter.

Hey relax, I'm just asking for purpose clarification. John Deere uses the name MoCo, in other words, mower conditioner, and that is not a sickle bar mower. So maybe, just maybe, you can see where there MIGHT be some confusion in your post. Furthermore, if you posted the same question in the AG section more than likely someone else would have asked you the same question because when you say mower conditioner these days MOST people refer to disc mower conditioners or rotory mower conditioners. You can thank John Deere for that with their MoCo term. On the other hand, when you are looking for a sickle bar conditioning system the majority of people simply call them haybines (thank NH for that one) . . . including on this site. I didn't make this stuff up, it is what is . . . .

Having run the 8ft cut with the 6000 and the 7010 I believe I would be stepping down as far as you can on the disc mower for a 4110. My neighbor runs a 6 ft cut with a 4510 cab. I would think that even a shorter cut disc mower would get the job done quicker than any sickle cutter (conditioner or not). You probably have the hp there to turn the 7ft cut, but it would really drag you down.
