Hello All -
I am assisting a friend who has a Skag (Model SW 36A-13KA) walk behind with the Kawasaki FB460V 13 HP motor on it. The motor is completely done as it is throwing oil everywhere. I was thinking about swamping out the motor for something new. I called Small Engine Warehouse and they recommended this 17HP Briggs to replace the Kawasaki with (31R976- 45-R1) so here are my questions:
I cant find the original shaft size on the Kawasaki so hoping this one will be the same size for the pulley. Other then the mounting bolts lining up, shaft being the same size should this be a relatively easy transfer? I am concerned with the electric clutch and how that will be getting power for the new motor, does any one have any ideas for that is that a real concern? Anything else that may be an issue?
Thank you so much in advance for everyone's assistance
