Just had the second hydraulic hose since November cut on our 3510 - both by sticks coming up through the frame. This time it was a high pressure hose that arced off the battery lead and set the machine on fire - only damage is the hose/battery lead. Funny part is that while the tractor usually operates on recently cleared timber land covered in tree trash - the fire occurred on my brother's manicured front lawn - the true golden BB. Fortunately his garden hose was close by.
Has anyone built skid plates for their machine? Guidance on materials and arrangement before I start down this road would be appreciated. Aluminum is my lead thought since it is lighter for the inevitable dropping and replacing that will come with maintenance. We have a BH and subframe. Pictures would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Will.
