I'm looking into possibly purchasing a Grand L60 Tractor with a FEL and BH. Is it possible to use Skid Steer attachments a like a rock hound on a Kubota? If so, what add on from the Kubota website would I need?

Kubotas will accept any SSQA atachments as long as loader is equipped with SSQA be careful and don't get John Deere attachments as they won't worh

as long as you have adequate hydraulic flow at the front remotes for your attachment. A rockhound does not require much flow, so it should work fine.

To answer the question, you need to have some kind of aux remote, be it a FEL 3rd function or a rear remote and run some hoses. The ideal thing would be to get all of them. 3 rear remotes and the FEL 3rd function. That way you would be ready for just about anything that might require hydraulic controls, front or back.

I am looking at purchasing the L3060 with a FEL, so what will I need additionally to run the rock hound, just front remotes or will the FEL lines run it? I will need an on/off switch for the rock hound? So the standard Kubota quick attach is the same as a skid steer quick attach?

Yes the skid steer attachments will work if you are using a grapple or something that needs additional hyd control then a third function valve is nice can get by with a diverter valve switches from curl function to third function it's a little cheaper to install but I would recommend to get third function valve.

So you are saying I should get the third function remote then? If I look on the Kubota website, there are multiple options for loader accessories. Do I need just the Third Function Valve or do I need also need the Loader Hose Quick Coupler and the Third Function Hose Quick Coupler? If I need all 3 pieces I would be around $2100 additional. I won't use the attachments allot, but when I do, it would be nice to have the option. If I can get away with just a diverter, that would work for me. Where do you get that and do you know how much?

I had a third function valve installed by dealer for 800 bucks I think Kubotas valve is a stack section that is added to fel valve mine is separate solenoid operated valve with thumb switch in control knob. there is a good video on this on youtube. a diverter valve which shares hyd flow with curl function is cheaper.:cool2:
