Skid Steer Hydraulic Oil

One nearby New Holland Dealer told me that my NH L775 skid steer uses SAE 30 non-detergent oil in the hydraulic system. Another dealer told me an hour later that it was 10W30 - an oil which DOES have detergents in it. Neither of these parts guys sounded very confident over the phone is the reason I called more than one place.

So . . what oil goes into the hydraulic system of my skid steer? It has a V-465D propane engine.

My 1998 JD 6675 (which was made by NH according to the dealer and the same as a NH 675) used JD spec'ed 10W30. Actually, 10W30 was spec'ed for all the oil used on it.

I appreciate your input. I was dreading trying to find 12 gallons of 30 weight non-detergent oil. My Belarus uses SAE 30 non-detergent in the hydraulics, and it's getting harder to find.

I'd try AW30, farm store should have it in gallon jugs. What the oil is, isn't very critical. I once had a loader that used transmission fluid for it's hydraulic oil.

I was just concerned that changing the oil from non-detergent to detergent oil would "wash" the seals, etc. of the original buildup of surface lubricants. Old cars from the 50's and 60's would sometimes start using oil and leaking at the seals when using the then "new" multigrade oils. Or at least that's what my shop teacher said.
You are probably corrsct on the AW 30/32. My brother runs it in his backhoe system & he told me the same thing. Tractor Supply had the best price on 10W30.
