Skid Steer Solid Tire

I would like to know if you can put steel skid steer tracks over solid rubber tires on my skid steer? In some readings they say its not advised but I am also worried if the smooth solid tires might spin with in the tracks under muddy conditions. Thoughts?

I have McLaren solid skid steer tires and they told me OTT tracks would be ok.
