I built a woodsplitter that I want to power off of the auxillary couplers on a 642 bobcat. I've adjusted the control valve for maximum flow. Cylinder doesn't have enough power to penetrate wood. Hooked gauge up to coupler on bobcat, it maintains 1900 psi. Do I need more, and is there a way to turn it up on bobcat?

Welcome to TBN:D

Need more details:

What kind of valve is on the splitter?
What size cylinder on the splitter?
What size hoses?
GPM rating of your 642?
Exactly how did you hook the gauge up?

I built a wood splitter and I had a 4 inch cylinder on it that's 79000 lb force and the problem was the head it needs to be on a angel it will start to split at the top of the wood then by the time it gets to the hart it has already started to split hope this helps
