Hi all,

Just finished a scraper for my skid steer to clean the farm yard. Was mostly made of scrap with some plates cut off my brothers CNC plasma. The rubber is off an old conveyor belt. I will put another strip on the horizontal bar on the top of the scraper so that pulling manure back from a wall is possible. Used it this saturday and it worked well except for the places which didnt get the sun and were still frozen. This is the first attachment i have built for it and I have learnt a lot for the next attachment. Need to add some gussets on the lifting hooks to prevent it bending. The back plates warped quite a lot while welding but it still fits well. .

Regards,
Ron

More like a pooper pusher than a scooper.....Its pushed into an area with slatted tank and it falls through the slats.....

nice, here we use half a large tire with one side cut out forming a large half circle. It works well. I would imagine with the skid steer you can get into the small places too.

Same idea used by many in our area. Often made by cutting in half old construction tires from loaders, earth movers ect. Mount on a back frame and skid steer plate. Cheap, easy on cement and has a little give if run into something.

does a much cleaner job than a bucket too.

my neighbour uses a similar setup for snow. Its made of an old mini excavator track.
When the track is worn, there is enough bare metal on the sprocket guides to weld an angle iron or a tube on the edge, to the sprocket guide notches. you can push it into any desired shape and its stiffer than most conveyor belts. But maybe a conveyor belt scrapes cleaner for that very same reason...

On a more serious note, have you used this to push snow and how well did it work?
