slight curve in tooth bar for CK20hst?

Not sure if I installed mine right based on the description above. I used the square washer that came with it on the inside since the bold head did not seem big enought to hold the size of the slot on the toothbar. Also, I did not want to put the threaded side of the bold on the inside since it would get banged up, I may have to remove it some time in the future for my rockrack attachment. I didn't have a washer for the outside, but put one on later if I remember too. The gap on the inside did not seem that big to me at the time I installed it, but it was getting dark when i put it on, so I take anther look. but it has work fine.
anther set or two sets of washers with the bar would have been nice.

aloha

When I was on an errand at Home Chepo I picked up six half inch galvinzed washers and an extra galvanized bolt and nut (in case I striped one of the bolts provided). Also, becasue I am over protective of my CK20 I coated the metal parts of the tooth bar and bucket that contact each other with Fluid Film, my favorite rust inhibiter. Probably not necessary but very easy to do. You could easily switch the two inch square metal plates to the outside and add washers on the inside in about ten minutes I would guess. By the way this Markem tooth bar is very stout and the slight curve in the bar was no problem when I actually got to installing the bar. Puts a smile on my face to add such a useful attachment to my CK20!

The exposed threads on the bolts will be damaged whether inside or outside the bucket. I put the extra threads inside since I would rather not catch the bolt end on a rock, stump, or ankle. I consider those bolts to be disposable since the threads will be damaged through normal use and since they are easily replaced even if stripped or broken.

Just screw another nut over the threads until they are covered and problem solved with chewing up the threads. I also used grade 8 nuts and bolts which also helps..
