Kubota Bx-23
HI have a bx-23 60MMM//FEL/BH/5ft rear blade/wheel weight 18.5k delivered since late sep 05 with only 17 hrs so take what I say with that in mind. Congrats to new bx-24 owner.

Love my bota has done everything I have asked(except getting unstuck once) and need lotta pracice with BH.

What I would change.

12 volt acc plug for amber flashing light think bx-24 has.

Little more clearance between mower deck and rear wheels when up for tire chains(only snowed twice 4-6 so maybe in 4w4 don't need.

An extra hyd outlet with a valve to control 3 point attach (yes I am trying to figure out how with BH off to use rear hose connections but see last 2 comments).

Some way to keep my rear blade on and locked up so can use mower deck. You can lock deck up and use blade but not other way. (any tricks to get this done?)

Better dealer support they act like I am the first person wanting to use a hyd 3 pt attch (say log splitter or grapple). Only 2 dealers in entire state.

Kubota online support says try the dealer. Had to fight to get owner/oper manuals with a new machine. Catch-22

Where are others getting toothed blade to put on FEL or other bx specific extras.

Thanx Pat

Welcome to TBN!! You might want to fill out your bio so people know more about you like what state you live in.

"Congrats to new bx-24 owner."

Thank you. I have about 8 hours of seat time so far. I need to work on my loader/backhoe "technique" as well. It's a great little machine.

Well, you can pin up the rear blade if you want. You'll notice that the lift arms of the 3pt have removable pins at the top. Lift the blade, put a hyd. jack under the blade, remove the pins and move the top of the lift arms to the hard mounts on the frame...just to the outside of where the lift arms attach. You won't be able to lower them at will without the jack, but you'll be able to use the mower and have the rear blade mounted. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Thanx Charlie Brown:

When it cools down a bit or stops raining will give a look see. Also will read the manual seen to recal something about keeping arms from hitting ground now that you mention it. Like the top I did buy a fiberglass one off web but like the front support maybe for putting sheet of pexi on to keep snow off me.
