Slow blade

:welcome:

Can you tell us what the blade is on?

Not familiar with that model with an angling blade.
Do you have dual hydraulics, and if so do you need to lock out the mower lift hyd. cylinder to divert the pressure to your blade angling cylinder?

That is necessary for later JD models that I am more familiar with.
If the valve isn't shutting off oil pressure to the mower lift cyl, then it moves its full length before oil pressure moves the blade angle.

There is a lift cylinder lockout valve. Item 26. This replaces an elbow, most likely (at least that is how it works on later tractors).
What is the history of your blade? Recent purchase, with the tractor for long, ?? Might help tracking down what is going on, if not the valve. Also, if you are equipped with the valve shown, then just turning it closed will lock out the mower lift. (just have to remember to open it when the blade is off and the mower deck is put on) :)

Thanks. I'll check to see if i have that valve/shutoff. Had a 300 and parted it out recently. Bought this last year but it's been a mild winter so only plowed a few times. The blade turns but theres a delay until it moves left n right. Up n down works fine. Thanks again!
