Slow reverse - 3550 HST

Hello Everyone! First time posting here. I have a 2017 Mahindra 3550 HST. The reverse works agonizingly slow. I do not have a shop manual. I'm sure there is a way to increase the travel on the reverse pedal. Has anyone else had this same issue and if so how did you resolve. Hoping to perform this myself rather than loading up the tractor and take it back to the dealer for warranty work. Thanks! Reg

I don't have a 3550, but my 2538 HST is noticeably slower in reverse than forward. And in the low gear ratio (H-M-L) it seems even more pronounced. Might be a "safety" thing.

If your reverse speeds in all 3 ranges are "proportionate", then it may be a factory setting. One thing you might want to try is to look at the reverse pedal linkage to see if it's bound up, or even too loose that would inhibit full engagement.

I'm not saying you don't have a problem, but you're not alone in having slower reverse speeds than you would think would be normal.

Thanks for the quick reply. I'll verify if the ranges are proportional. I definitely expected reverse to be slower but this is almost unbearable. I'll also look at the linkage and see what I can see. Cheers!
