Slow speed branch/limb/ trimmer.

I have been looking at the various cutter options for my excavator. Was planning to make either a rotary cutter or flail mower for it but there were a few things I didn't like.
1) How much they shake and vibrate the excavators around.
2) I live in a rural area and there is old fencing wire and crap to hit/get wrapped up in everywhere.

I saw this thing and thought it was awesome but probably out of my price range.

It's driven hydraulicly by a wheel on the end of motor with what's basically a tie rod connected from wheel to the top cutting bar.

Waiting on quotes from a couple places for ar400 cutter bars. Looking forward to using the hedge trimmer on steroids.

I have a 5 ton excavator I have used flail mower on. Be sure of gallons per minute and pressure of your machine. Don't miss the fact you will still need oil flow and pressure to operate the excavator while using the cutter.

If there is metal fencing or wire where you will be running the cutter, do not use a cutter that rotates as it will amaze you how fast the wire will come flying towards your mower and machine. Really dangerous.

If you don't need that heavy of cutter (which is an amazing looking cutter) you might be able to use a hyd run sickle bar mower. You should be able to use the excavator to place with where needed to do your cutting. BTW, look for there are other hyd sickle bar mowers for cutting hedges than the one you posted.
