I am going to sell my SLT 1554. It has 12 hrs on the clock and is in excellent conition.
Can anyone tell me what it would be worth?
Thanks!

Like selling anything that new, you're gonna take a hit. New MSRP is ~$2600? You should be able to get around $1800 for it I would guess. Why are u unloading so soon? Maybe you should trade up?

Thanks for the reply. That is exactly what I had in mind to sell it for. To answer your question... I just moved in to a new house and we have a very small yard. The 54" deck does it in about 15 minutes. I thought I might sell the Cub and get something smaller and have quite a bit of cash left over. It is just a real tough decision because the SLT1554 is soooooo nice! The only prob I ever had with it was starting trouble.. and that turned out to be old gas!! Against my better judgment after trying everything else.. I took some advice and dumped $10.00 worth of gas out of the tank and put in fresh. It started right up and ran great. Now I just run a little gas preserver in it and never fill it past half a tank and it is great.

I'll take opinions if anyone wants to offer them!!

Should I sell it and pocket some cash or just keep it and love having an incredible tractor for 15 minutes every week?

Assuming a replacement will run about $1200 before taxes, I'd say it isn't worth it. You've had no problems with your current tractor, so why run the risk of purchasing something that becomes a nightmare?

Unless you have a real need for the money, I'd say stick with what you've got.

Why not just keep the SLT1554?
I have one too and I love it. I put 30 hours on mine last summer and have 4 this year. Hasn't given me a single problem except when the mice chewed through my wiring on the starter.
If it only takes 15 minutes to mow, that is a good thing. More time to do other things.
Who is to say that you won't move to a place with a big yard in a couple of years? Then you will be looking for a big tractor again.
If you put only 15 mins a week on the SLT1554, it should last you a long, long time.
Keep it.
