Well not completely tractor related, but as my Diesel is air cooled, I am looking forward to the answer....
I run synthetic on everything, usually from near the beginning of its life. My wife has a Mazda CX-7 (please never buy one). I have been reading that modern cars with turbos tend to blow the turbo's, and they are finding out it is due to sludge buildup going to the turbo. apparently on a number of new cars, the oil passages have been re-routed through hot spots. Apparently you are supposed to idle a turbo for 3 minutes before shutting it down (have yet to find verification of this but in a way it makes sense).
Anyway, I am debating dumping a can of tranny fluid in before my next oil change on both the Mazda and the PT.
Any thoughts on this? Any better ideas?
