I needed to clean the radiator screen on my tractor & discovered I needed to remove the loader to get the screen off all the way. The loader was surprisingly easy to remove.
Here is a picture of my 2800 without the loader.

I'm sure your method is more "complete" - but I use compressed air to blow out the radiator screen on my 4110. Been a while since I've been near a 2810 so I'm not sure on the clearances and such, but it seems like you may be able to do the same thing so you don't have to remove your FEL. Granted, it takes me a little stretching & contorting /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif, but only takes a few minutes. Perhaps you can get an extended “wand” so you wouldn’t have to contort so much. (Hey, maybe I’ll do that too instead of using the short version I currently have! /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif)

That sure is a good-looking tractor without the loader on it /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

I second your complaint! That is one of the few things I've found that I consider a true design flaw - they could have easily made the screen slide straight up for removal instead of to the side.

I am glad to hear the FEL was easy to remove. I've been thinking about removing mine just to reduce the weight for mowing around my yard and make it easier to maneuver around my wooded areas.

Help me understand here - are you saying you have to remove your FEL to remove your side panels or am I just misunderstanding what you are saying?

The side panels will come off with the FEL attached - it's the screen in front of the radiator that won't slide out with the FEL attached. It will slide out about six inches and then hits the arm on the FEL.

Your extended wand idea should work.

Just raise the loader to where the screen will come out !!

Never never get under a raised loader or any of its components!!!! I refer to this link and other stories......

My DK 35 is the same way.
The screen hits the loader arm.
When I need to clean the screen I lift the loader to where the screen can come out reach under the arm and pull out the screen.
You are not working under the loader and if the loader would fall your arm and hand has plenty of roon under the arms as not to get pinched !
