I had a little glitch in the delivery of the new TC-40D. I ordered the tractor with turfs, fel, backhoe and 84" midmount mower. Unfortunately the mounting brackets for the mid mount mower (with the mower removed) interfere completely with the subframe of the 758c backhoe. This was as much of a surprise to the dealer as it was to me. All of the dealer's literature said these components were compatable. From here, my options were to go with a 3 point finish mower and nix the mid mount or keep the mid mount mower and go with a three point hitch backhoe. No contest - went with the backhoe subframe and three point hitch finish mower. Even if these implements were compatable I new removing the 84" mid mount was going to be a a task. They say a rear finish mower with high lift blades are just as good as mid mounts, I guess I will find out first hand. Any who, the dealer has been great about the whole situation. He has been in contact with New Holland but there aren't any plans to rectify the compatability issue. I guess I am only one of a small few that has ordered these attachments together. I will be using the tractor for my property maintenance side buisness - one day it will be mowing school ball fields and the next it may be digging an electrical line out to a pool. I like the idea of one piece of equipment for many different jobs. As my buisness grows I will add more equipment but this versatility of these tractors can keep initial overhead somewhat low. Anyways, I pick up the new machine Wednesday. Will post some pictures when I get it.

From what I remember in previous posts this was a problem discussed about the back hoe. But I think you are making the right decision and going with the rear finish mower. The rear finish mower actually from what I understand will mow better than a mid mower. However the mid is easier to mow with and get around trees. If you have open area you will be just as happy or happier.

If it was me i wolud have made the same decesion. the MMM would be a little easier around trees and such, but if u are going to be mowing Ball fields don't see that as a problem.
