Just wanted to let fellow posters know about a small problem with my 300cx loader. I have now had two bolts on the side mounting bracket of the loader shear off. One on each side. Although I have been using my loader, there has not been any exceptionally heavy work and no abuse. Judging by the fracture lines on the bolts they likely were brittle (bad batch). Just wanted to let those who already have and those who are getting the 300cx loader to keep an eye for this. Until I get replacement bolts, I am still using the loader and have seen no compromise in its performance, as there are still six bolts in place.

Thanks John. I've got a 300CX on order and will make sure that all the bolts are torqued correctly once I get it. Is there any marking on the head of the bolt to tell what grade they are?

Are you talking the bolts that attach the loader posts to the tractor?

KennedyDiesel,

No, those are fine. On the framework that runs alongside the tractor where near where the mounting brackets are there is a pivot point that has four sets of bolts on each side. This is where the problem occurred.
