An aged farmer and his wife were leaning against the edge of their pig-pen when the old woman wistfully recalled that the next week would mark their Golden Wedding Anniversary.

"Let's have a big party, Homer," she suggested. "You'll need to kill a pig."

The farmer scratched his grizzled head. "Gee, Ethel," he finally answered, "I don't see why the pig should take the blame for something that happened fifty years ago."

Funny you should mention that; I recall reading an article many years ago that surmised that in certain places, it's possible that rock formations may actually record events in the same manner as a movie camera. The theory basically was that we know it's possible, we can do it technically, so why can't mother nature do the same thing? The example given was a place in Europe where different people continually have the same vision...a column of Roman soldiers on horseback are seen marching past the same formations. The author opined that it had been recorded at that place and time and was periodically played back. A bit far fetched I'll admit, but intriguing nevertheless.

This fascinates me.
Things are only “impossible” until we imagine them. Once imagined, it often then become the “possible”, and science brings it into “reality”. (Example: smartphones)

Similarly, I believe there are still many natural phenomena that hasn’t been discovered, and only exists, or is occasionally experienced, as something we think of as “supernatural”.
Your example of people seeing Roman soldiers would certainly stand out as an odd sight.
....but what about a deer in a field? How do you know your looking at a year 2020 deer or a mirage of a deer that stood there in 1853? (This might explain many the “how did I miss that?” shots from hunters!).
Couldn’t this phenomenon also explain Sasquatch seen around the world by a large variety of people? UFO’s, Loch Ness, etc...?
People see “something”, but something that exists in 2020?

...I’m being tongue in cheek...sort of...

That's funny. I've often thought it's strange that I'm supposed to buy a gift for my wife, just because it's our anniversary. I've been *married* to her for XX years. That ought to be enough!

My lady friends Niece asked for nothing for Christmas except that people donate to her favourite charity. Why can't more people be like that and not just about getting more and more STUFF!

As it turned out, her Mother Got her something toally unwanted! People!

Good for the niece! My daughter and I are on the same page.

Buying unneeded STUFF for the sake of gift giving is criminal.

Shop stuff and tools are a different matter though......

My Mom told me many times of how my DAD bought her one of those little stainless steel screens that goes on the kitchen faucet, For Christmas! They had just come to Canada and had little money. Nowadays, people would buy somthing lavish and totally unneeded, put it on the CC, just to meet the occasion.

It's funny though, that the OTHER Niece is all about stuff, like most people.

This Covid related thought occurred to me this morning.

It’s difficult to practice social distancing even in my home gym.

Every time I complete a set with good form I am beside myself. Adjustments.jpg
