I have a small Kubota with FEL and a box scraper. I bought a cheap winch from Harbor Freight-mostly because of the bargain price.
I have occasional need to pull small trees and bushes and a few logs from sloped areas and thought the winch would be useful, but now I can't determine any logical way to mount it permanently without interfering with equipment mounted front and rear. I would seldom pull more then 700 pounds.
I am now considering making a portable base with prongs to stick in the ground-then using the FEL to help secure it-then using a plug for electrical power- making the winch with base a seperate implement.
I am looking for any other ideas, or some method of mounting the winch (the base is mounted horizontal with 4 5/16 holes.)
