Smartphone Solitaire

With my Samsung Galaxy s5, I downloaded a solitaire card game from the play store. Am I using data when I play it in an area without WiFi?
If i am using data, how much am i using? I ask because the plan i chose is only 1 Gigabit per month.

For my Solitare game, it depends. I select a "winning" hand (meaning someone has one this hand, I assume). That will NOT work without signal/internet. A truly random deal will work without internet.

As others have said, use the android data tracking stuff. You'll be wanting to pay attention with only a gig of data. Can always put it in airplane mode, but then calls won't come in either (maybe a good thing?).

Thanks, I never select a type of hand, I bypass that and play what is on the screen. So to prove it to myself, i went into airplane mode, and started playing. As i was playing, i called my self with the land phone. It did not ring and i continued playing. I'll be sure to never select a type of hand (winning etc.) so i don't use any of the expensive data.

I use an app called "Data Usage Monitor", the tracking built into my cell phone wasn't always tracking correctly and I have a 150mb data limit (only use it for weather radar and important price checking).
