Smoke coming from somewhere different than Exhaust

I have a YM-146 14 HP Yanmar. White smoke is coming from somewhere. I can't figure out where the leak is located. Is there a trick or a likely spot that causes exhaust smoke to come out in unlikely areas.

You might start by checking for wind around the engine.

Exhaust is not normally white! Could be steam or oil burning?
