A crankcase breather is going to have a slight puff from incedental blowby.. that's normal. even a tad bit of visible puf-puf is ok.. just means the engine has a few hours of wear on it. as long as it is strong.. and no other warning conditions are present.. i wouldn't be too worried.

Now.. if you see heavy smoke.. or steam.. and / or you are loosing coolant.. Stop and investigate immediatly... might be head gasket.. might not..

You could make sure the breather tube/hose coming off the top of the valve cover over to the intake is not bent or restricted.

The engine oil is not getting thinned out.

I think it is normal to get a little when working hard and loaded.

keep an eye on the oil level and see how it does.?

That lower breather could also be getting clogged up, only "puffing" periodically instead of actually breathing. I recommend cleaning it at least every 100 hours, sooner depending upon conditions. It disassembles and reassembles without difficulty. Cleans up real good with diesel fuel. If you'd rather not remove, you can disassemble while it's still on the tractor - and take the screens out for cleaning. I just find it easier to take the whole thing off and bench clean everything.
