Smoking Good Deal on Cat. 2 Quick Hitch

I decided to take a chance on a Cat. 2 quick hitch from Northern Tool.

$149.99, if it was junk no big deal, I printed out the web page and went to the local store and they had to order it. $54.18 INCLUDING TAX! WOW! Came in yesterday and picked it up today, looks fine; wish my loader would get here so I can pick up my tractor.

Cashier punched # in computer and that's the price that came up, she double checked because she had the printout of the web page I handed her. Maybe they are on closeout or something.

I hate to be the negative guy but NT is selling those off for a reason.

The implements you have used for your L4200 are likely CAT 1 and won't fit the CAT 2 quick hitch. The solid frame quick hitches will only fit an implement that exactly matches the hitch's measurements. If you don't mind modifying your attachments to fit then it will work OK.

I bought one years ago when I really didn't think about the construction and sold it within a week. Now I use Pat's Easy Change.

Excellent price on the hitch. We have 6 JD cat 2 for our Ford and New Hollands. Paid over $500 each. With a little bit of luck your hitch may fit most cat 1 frames with just bushing adapters or by replacing lower link pins. The increased frame size may interfere with some implements. Keep your receipt, you may be better off with the Cat 1.

Sold / Selling my old implements, the only thing I will keep that will not hook up is a Danuser post hole digger.. Have a Landpride RB3572 and BB2572 for sale. When these sell I am going to purchase a heavier duty box blade and should be good to go.

Have these for the new machine.
