My DK-40 HST with Kioti BH-2485 seems to always jam the smv sign bracket against the back of the BH seat. Dealer says that is just the way it is?! It ends up bending the bracket and the toolbox gets crunched too. What is up with this design?
Anyone have a reasonable way to make it all fit together without anything getting bent up?
Another pet peeve is that the switches under the console do not light up when the lights are on so I have to read them like braille when trying to use things like 4wd, hazards, cruise, etc.
Anyone lit up these switches?
Thanks!;)

You can buy a bracket and mount it to one of the ROPS mounting bolts.

Do you drive it on the road/highway? If not, just remove it.

I took mine off the CK35 and it is stored in my garage in case I ever have to put it back on or sell the tractor. I only use my tractor on our property or private road, as I do not use it on a public road it is not required. :)

Same here, I am on a private road, I guess I own it. as the county does not want anything to do with it, say its mine, So I just took the sign off, and hung it on the peg board, its there if I need it!

Thanks for the replies. I just want it to work as intended in the place where it was 'designed' to go in its original bracket.
Is that too much to ask for an expensive piece of machinery?
I do go on the road, that is why I want it to be able to be used as intended - I'm looking for answers as to why the bracket, even without the sign being installed, gets bent when using the hoe?
It is surprising to me that a tractor as well designed as the Kioti has this flaw?

Any ideas on lighting up the switches?

Thanks.

Just bought a new truck and it could also so with a couple of improvements.
Perhaps you should talk to Wallace about the bracket they have, mounting it on the ROP's may be the way to go. I really haven't found a need for a light for my switches even though I have used my tractor at night. Part of that could be because I have four lights on top of my ROP's and they do give some over all light to the tractor. :)

its a flaw with my dk45SE HST cab model also. the SMV sign is in the way of the top link and the remote hoses. so i had to remove it.

i have hazard lights on the back, so oh well. I wonder if maybe the smv sign is added in the USA when the tractor is prepped. I noticed that the sign has a US manufactures label on it.

i honestly looked for another place to mount it...but couldn't come up with one. it fits in my desk drawer nicely though:laughing:

My KB2485 has a SMV bracket on the bucket arm. It's a wedge fit that allows one to easily remove the sign when using the BH. There's a thingy that bolts to the sign that lets you plunk it in the bracket.

There's also a SMV sign on the LR wheel arch (cab model like the one pictured in Lloyd_E's post) so the one for the BH wasn't with the tractor when I got it. I bet a good dealer could look up the parts. The tractor is a 2006 model.
