Well, with the cooler weather predicted, my wife had me bring in the sword looking plants (they are in large pots) that have been out on the porch for the summer. We moved them into the dining room near a window (as we do each year) and that's where they stay until spring.
So I hear this scream, then "there's a snake in the birdcage, he ate our bird!!" It was a parakeet. Seems this snake about 18" long came out of the plants we had brought in, heard this bird squawking, climbed into the cage, swallows bird and can't get back out (due to lump in stomach). My son and I take snake outside and dispose of. In the words of Larry the cable guy, "now thats funny"
