I installed the power lift bed kit in my Snapper Grounds Cruiser this weekend. I took some photos and had a grand idea of posting a how-to, but its so ridiculouosly simple that it doesn't really warrant much discussion. Basically its install two bolts, plug the unit in, stick the switch through the dash, plug the wires onto the switch, and remove the strike bolt to diable the latch. 20 minutes start to finish, and that's on Tom-time, which as anyone who knows me will tell you, is twice the time an average person would take.
I think this is a similar, if not identical, unit to the one built for the JD Gator. Its made by Warner Electric. The eye-to-eye length when fully extended is aproximately 31& 3/4". I forgot to measure the length closed. The list price is $460, but its on sale right now. I got mine for $275. Quite a savings, I thought.
Here's a photo of the contents of the kit.
