I have a old myers plow I want to use on the loader of my 4310. What I would like to do is be able to use the power angle feature but I am not sure how to do this along with the other hyd. Do I need to mount another control valve in conjunction with the loader valve? Any Ideas will help

Thanks Mike

A typical valve set up consists of an input section, an output (return) section, and one or more control valve sections. Additional control valve sections are available from many manufacturers. Your dealer may be able to order single sections. Places like Northern Tool supply all sorts of hydraulic valve parts.

I haven't done it, but I wouldn't expect the job to be very difficult. The biggest problem likely would be adapting the mounting plate or finding a new one. I may do this myself as soon as I fed up grabbing the loader bucket curl circuit every time I need an additional rear circuit.

If additional control valve sections aren't available, an alternative might be to hook a new valve assembly in series with the existing one. I believe that open centre valve assemblies can be hooked up successfully in series. Some valves work for either open or closed centre systems and are supplied with plugs for closed centre operation. The plugs have to be removed for open centre operation.

MikeF,

I will be doing the same this fall with a Fisher plow. Here is my idea (may still need some tweeking). For the hydrualics I will need to replace the both OE cylinders. This is because the OE cylinders are one way. Then install one two way cylinder. I would then hook up the angle to the curl function on the loader joystick. You would have to get the blade at the right level before disconnecting the curl lines. As for mounting the plow I plan on keeping the bucket on. I would make 2 plates with pins and bolt them to the bucket. Then hook the lift chain to the top of the bucket. Kind of like it would mount on a truck. The reason I would keep the bucket on is for snow removal or stacking. I will most likely mount my blade off set in the bucket. I need to do this so I can "shelf" (wing back) the snow banks along side of driveways. I do not need the tractor for primary snow removal. I have 4 trucks for that. Mainly the tractor will get used for opening things up as the plugged up later in the season. The ski area claims the on average 300" cumulative snow fall. Hope this helps. Let me know if you more detail.

If anybody sees any "holes" in my plan PLEASE let me know. Thanks

Derek
