Has any one ever added one to your tractor mounted blower?Ihave one ive added on my walk behind. The edges of my drive are getting taller than the blower,Iwas thinking i might want to add a steel bar to knock the top down into the auger. Thanks for info,or pics you might have .

Yep I put one on mine. Just a 1/8 by 2 inch flat bar screwed on the side.

They are quite common on walk behind blowers.Do any of you guys have a pic of yours.
SMFCPACFP, Ibelieve we got a bit more snow than you.Ihave a few areas i can only bucket itout[between buildings, and under eves] Iend up with very large piles i drive into and blow it into a drainage ditch to rid of it.Ido the same method as you,but sometimes i tunnel into it and the top part falls down on top of the blower when the chute hits it.Ifigured a couple drift cutters, one on each side would cut a slice and knock it down .

I added 4 ft lengths of 3/8 X 3 flat stock to both sides of my rear PTO blower to cut the banks at roadside.
My banks are so high that I really needed 5 ft.

Works great but mind you at that height a guy needs to take very small bites.

If you do add them, make sure that the top leads the bottom by about 6" or so otherwise the cut off snow will fall behind the blower.
Alternativerly weld a deflector to 'kick' the cut snow away from the bank.

Works great for me!

The road contractor has pushed back twice this season with a grader and the banks are mostly 7-8 ft high on road sides.

I was thinking of the problem of snow falling on, or behind the blower, mulling over what the pieces would look like. If you have a picture of your rig that would be great.

Also I don't understand your deflector idea. I am taking a welding class, so this might make an interesting project. Any pictures of one of these?
