You know every year I go through this time, wondering if I should take the blower off. It seems everytime I think its safe to take it off.....we get hammered with between 6-15 inches of snow. The mini boss (when she isn't looking), asked me about it today. She likes how I move the mulch around for her with the loader.

I said you know, as soon as I get it cleaned up and put away, we will get smoked with a storm. She said go ahead, it won't snow. But then again, she isn't out there taking it apart and putting the blower back on in 0 degree weather......

Hahaha, I go thru it every year too here in Idaho. Never know when it is safe. I took the blower, weatherbrake, etc. off last spring and sure as crap.... we got nailed for another month, had to reinstall everyting.... luckily tho I do have a heated shop;) I feel your pain!

I,m in n. Minnesota and go thru the same thing, the only answer is be rich enough to have one snow rig and one for the rest of the year. Here in Mn. they say we have 9 months of winter and 3 months of poor sledding.

Buy another tactor. :D

I don't have a blower on the 855(this year, i wished I did) but I am constantly using the loader all winter long. It's how I get rid of ashes from the furnace, it's how I bring up more coal or wood. Using a loader & grader blade on the roads though... I have my work cut out for me to fix the roads now that spring has arrived. So I have seriously been contemplating getting a smaller tractor. 72" deck is too big for me anyway, but a smaller tractor with a smaller deck and put a blower on the front. 47" or there abouts would be just about perfect.

Just need to find a way to pay for it. :D

I removed my blower and put the loader back on this past weekend. We are guaranteed a foot of snow within a week.:confused2:

I switched from snow to grass last week also, and it's like the kiss of death when you do that.
But this year I don't give a hoot, we're heading to FL for a month next week:D

removing the blower isn't my kiss of death, BUT take down all the driveway markers and its guaranteed !!!

I put my snow removal stuff away two weeks ago and we got 10 inches of snow last Saturday. Fortunately, it has been above freezing every day since and was 70 here yesterday so now it's all gone. Gotta love spring in the midwest....

No wonder it turned cold all of a sudden here in the Northeast... :)

Mine is still on...the only reason being I've been too busy to wash & grease it for storage.
Seriously though, the ground is so soft (dirt driveway), even if we got 10" of snow tomorrow I wouldnt blow it, I'd just blade it off like I do for the first storms...
