John Deere 1120
I have a John deer 1120 tractor and when I bought it it came with a McKee 620 snow plow. I hooked it up for the first time this week and blew the drive way last night and the thing weaves right to left and I have to continualy steer to correct , is there a way to stabalize the blower?

There are usually adjustable chains that go from the arms of the 3 point hitch, to the tractor axle or a bracket attached to the axle. They are about 15" long, and have an adjuster in the middle section of each cable.Snug those up the same amount on each side, and that should keep the blower from wobbling side to side.

I am a newby, so what would these chaines look like I can see none

They attach to the 3 or arms and run out towards the wheels on axles. They have turnbuckles on them to tighten or loosen them for various compliments.

Most tractors will have the stabilizers (check chains or any other name) on the outside of the lift arm and back to the tractor axle. So the left stabilizer keeps the implement from moving to the right and the right stops it from moving left. There should be some slack in them but just enough so that the stabilizer isn't tight when raised or lowered to max movement.

Look for the gold colored hardware in Category 1 3-point hitch for maximum implement versatility those are more traditional locations, on the outside of the 3pt arms. The pic msb1766 linked has them on the inside of the 3pt arms, probably due to clearance issues on a SCUT (really small tractor). They accomplish the same thing though.

Also, FYI, you want them loose when plowing dirt, running a subsoiler or something else that digs. If the implement can can move around a little it can avoid rocks & transmit less shock to the tractor. Otherwise you generally want them tight. Also handy to loosen them up for hooking implements up.

Then that probably answers your question about why it's so loose. Might want to check with your dealer about getting some. You could make your own with some chain & turnbuckles as well.

A quick google images search of "John deere 1120 hitch" doesn't turn up too much, but some of the photos look like people have made their own using chain going to the draw bar in the center. If the chains don't attach pretty much parallel to the lift arms, you will run into problems lifting & lowering the 3pt (but probably wouldn't break anything).
