We just had hail an hour ago. I just planted my garden last thursday thinking its going to stay warm enough for rest of month. May is always a gamble where we live and We have a freeze warning for tonight in low 30's. I have peppers, onions, cabbage, celery in as plants and the rest of the veggies is seed. I am hoping that this thursday warmth in mid 70's will keep the seeds viable. I am sure the onions and cabbage will survive the freeze. I am more concerned about the peppers I planted. do you think covering peppers wil help? I just hope it doesnt make it leggy and wilted in the morning.
