Snow on the way tonight, fun times again

We got modest snow in our forecast. Not enough to spit at.

well now the snow has come we did get a inch or so, not enough to get excited about, its enough to pack down to freeze the driveway so the blower and bucket does not pickup the gravel, maybe not clearing the snow but will have a fun time driving with the grandson to pack it down

The thing that annoys me is the weather forecast, they went on for a couple days about heavy snow fall, do this every time and we get immune to the forecast, when we do get heavy snow Im talking 4 years ago now people ignore the information and get blindsided by it, many stuck in vehicles only a loader can help, I tend to look at the radar site and clearly I see something different to the weatherman

I stopped paying attention to the local winter weather forecast here a long time ago. I watch every night and I take what they say into account but they are rarely right. I also look at other sources (weather.com and forecast.weather.gov) plus my own instincts. My predictions are usually far more accurate than any one source.

I'm hoping we get a layer that stays, but don't think I'm going to get that lucky this year. I'm thinking that we're going to have a lot more warm ups that melt the base this year than last year which means I'll be constantly changing the shoes on my equipment.

Speaking of snow, I just got done inviting some friends over to my annual slash burn

and just like that the weatherman is calling for freezing rain today changing to snow overnight with a heavy snowfall warning for tomorrow, that means rain tonight changing to some snow tomorrow, we will see

well we got a 1/4 inch of rain, no freezing or snow but he again assures us we will have a blizzard this afternoon continuing thro the night, looking at the radar there is a storm brewing west of us so maybe this is the day
