Snow Snow plow for Ford 1720

Considering buying Ford 1720 in very good condition with loader, cab and finish mower. Would like input on type and size of snow blade this unit can handle for a church parking lot. Also, frame mount or bucket mount ideas appreciated!

I'm not sure how wide that tractor is but you'll want to clear the wheels when the blade is fully angled so you are not driving in the snow you just moved. Also I would recomend one for the FEL, as the frame mounted ones don't raise much more than 2' off the ground and I'm sure you will want to pile it higher than that, pluss it will give you more angles by tilting the "bucket" and angeling the blade. A smalll blower on the back is also nice and helps keep the piles smaller.

Curtis makes blades that can be installed in place of your loader bucket. Hydraulic angle control is an option worth considering. I had one on a 1710 and did a lot of snow plowing with it. Now it is on a 1920 and still happy with it.

Thanks for the input! We have some talented welders in the church so we may attempt attaching a truck plow blade to the FEL.

Ford made a front mounted plow for these tractors. They had a sub-frame underneath and hydraulics up front for raising and lowering the blade as well as pivoting the angle. Here are a couple photos of one I came across. Good luck with your project!
