Snow plow hydraulic question

Ok thank you for your info and quick responce.The only reason i am thinking about the meyer is because i cant seem to locate any other plow for the front.Do you have any connections for a reasonably priced front plow for my 4110?

No connections here...I found my #380 plow (for the old x55 series tractors) on Craigslist and modified it to fit my machine (see picture below). The 54" blade is what JD has to offer along with the front quick-attach. If you can weld/fabricate( I assume you can) than you and mount that plow off of the front bumper of you tractor.

Yes, it will work fine-but when the stick is pushed forward to lower the system will go into relief because nothing is plugged into that port.

Couldn't he do what I was asking about awhile ago?

Use the lower port to raise the plow and use the float position to lower the plow (if he has float) that would probably cause the plow to come down hard though.

Don't know what's worse, going into full relief and holding it there till the plow came down, is that OK?
Also if I'm grasping this when you lowered the plow that way, it would only bring the cylinder down to the point when the plow hit the ground, there would be no slack in the chain for the plow to float down into dips in the surface of what was being plowed?

On mine I just used the DA cyl even with chain lift, this way it's controlled down, not slamming.

I may rig a solid link in place of the chain at some point, I'm sure I would use it if I had it, for that packed snow and ice scenario.
