Take a look at the Kasco and Curtis sites. They both offer Quiktach and pin mount blades for loaders. These are in the $1500 plus range. I am planning to mount an ATV blade to my bucket or make a pin mount for it. I think I can do this for under $700? I too was concerned about the stresses you mention but according to the folks at Kasco you need to be sure to size your blade to your loader. Too long and you will get the side stress you mention. I have a Woods 1006 loader (small) and Kasco recommended a 54" blade. There are also the clamp on type (Snow Champ) that are available in Albion PA. There is just somethin about the clamp on type that worries me though. I can see the lip of my bucket being stressed. I know a guy near me that had/has a Curtis 5' pin on for a Kubota 7500 for sale. I looked at it and it is like new. I think $1000 might do that one if he still has it. PM me if you want his number. He is near Oil City. You would probably have to move the pin mounts to suit your application.

You will need at least a 7' blade to cover the width of your tractor and you will have to add weight to the front of the tractor. Actually I would load all 4 tires to plow as the front of the tractor will want to slide side ways when plowing with plow angled. Good luck with it.

Tim,
I plow snow with a 7' blade on the loader arms .(a 35 HP tractor)
As long as the plow has trip springs if you hit a solid object you will not have any problems.

This is not a suggestion, it is a must. You will mangle your loader if you hit something with side load forces.
