1100 lb lifting capacity - interesting. My L2500 is 27 hp with an 800 lb capacity (assuming both companies rate this capacity in the same manner. Even if they had the same hp that's a pretty significant difference in lifting capacity (37% more for the kioti?? 300/800). I certainly wouldn't mind another 300 lbs of lift!!

we don't get that much snow here in southern west virginia, we seem to go in cycles of 10 or so years. we'll go several seasons with just a lil snow and lots of cold rain then we'll have 2 or 3 years of heavy snows like in the 60s we got some monster snows, then in the 70s not much, 80s were good heavy snows, th 90s were half and half, we are due for some more big ones in the next few years though.

Good setup now, Avondale.

I think you will appreciate one other benefit of a snow blade besides speed - that is there isn't such a need for a cab compared to a blower.

In my case, the blade was cheaper than a cab.

Cheers,

Jon

Thanks, Jon

I have been using the blade on the Arctic Cat 500, (which has a windshield) for the last 5 winters. It is faster than the blower and much more comfortable too. Sadly, by this point of the winter, it can not keep up to much more snow falls due to the blade size and the overall quantity of snow. Finding room for all of the snow is an issue with blades, more so than blowers. Based on running out of room last year, I have plowed over 1/2 of my front & back lawns to shove it all while awaiting delivery of the blower. During major storms, I need to go out and clear in stages.

The new blower is a high volume device and does a fairly good clean-up but not really a good "finisher". The small blower is somewhat limited to flat, smooth surfaces and will likely be put up for sale now I have the Kioti rigged. I needed to have my other ATV tethered to the bumper to provide towing services or the required forward traction when not on the main driveway.

I am still interested in the plow rig I saw on the Michigan Iron site as I am now clearing more trails and lanes around my sugar bush and firewood trails. The ATV blade I have is not nearly as sturdy as the one you have on your machine. I would like to acquire a 7 footer, when the resources become available. Not this winter, sadly, but I do appreciate your info on the trucking broker you provided via our PM.

Hi Bob,

No problem at all. Although your budget may be limited right now, it sounds like you have a wonderful spot to "play" in.

Glad to be able to suggest something helpful.

Cheers,

Jon
