Snow thrower for LX178 (1994)

I recently aquired a 1994 LX178 is what appears to be show room condition. I would very much like to attach a snow thrower to handle a 200 foot driveway and small parking lot. I have located a snow thrower off a John Deere 240, model number M03252x270721 and have been told by the owner of the snow thrower all that is needed to fit an LX178 is a LX mounting kit; part number BM16980. Does this sound correct?

After speaking with an Ebay dealer I have learned that BM16980 fits a 36 inch blower not a 42 inch blower. He has advised me that BM19407 is the mounting kit I am seeking. He also created a bit of doubt about the blower itself. Does anyone know the difference between blower M03252X and M03252M?
