NH TC33D turfs , been plowing for 11 years 700 ft asphalt, 300 ft stone driveway and assorted trails as needed. Hmmmmm I run those exotic studless Ice/Snow tires on my 4WD truck (Bridgestone Blizz WS965, LRE) and my AUdi Bridg Blizz WS60...I buy the stickiest ice tire they make for the car, never the "performance Ice" -an oxymoron in my mind... .....Hmmmm how about trying some sticky ice tires with nice open shoulders on the front of my tractor. I currently use chains- regular links and I even use VBar links for bad ice due to the hills and if I need to go to the woods for firewood. But I "made it" the first few years with no chains, sometimes needing a rescue pull from my truck with big drifts or ice. The chains are great but chew up my pretty asphalt at times. I found a Dunlop auto ice tire with the same OD (overall diam) as my frt turfs. $68ea, I think I am going to try it. I've been running snow tires for my whole life and have witnessed how freakin amazing these new compounds perform. has anyone tried it. Load capacity for the tire is 1235lbs, tread depth 12/32. They may keep me off the chains at times. I know they puncture easy in the rough , but this is for winter duty only , I'll avoid the rough part of the woods.
