What kind of spreader is that? I'm looking at Snow Ex's and man are they expensive. My tractor has 2 private roads and 15 driveways to do and I used a PTO spreader last year with less than I expected results.

The spreader is made by Fimco Industries I bought it at Tractor Supply for $267.49 with tax. Modle number: DMS-3PT-12V-4.5-TSC (5302045)

Here a link to Fimco:FIMCO Industries - Locations

I did not see the 3 point hitch spreader in their catolog, I had to call them to get the manual because mine was missing it, I talked to Max McDonald and he emailed me the manual and he said they still make the 3 point model.
If you want to look at the manual let me know and I will email it to anyone.

Nice setup!! I will caution you on one thing..... I saw an ad on craigslist for a Kubota tractor that was being sold for a good bit below what it should have been selling for. The reason was the owner had used it to spread a LOT of salt, which had eventually eaten through most of the sheetmetal in the rear portion of the tractor. Also, it had a LOT of rust on everything in the rear half of that tractor. If I were you, I would try and rig up a deflector on the spreader to avoid salt being thrown towards the front. Jmho.

I bought some rubber floor runner and I am going to hang it on the frame of the spreader for protection, Going to do that tomorrow. I will post some pictures when done. Made a platform with wheels today to set the spreader on to move around in the garage.
